6 week series

Qigong (pronounced “Chi Gung” and sometimes referred to as “Chinese Yoga”) is both a set of practices and a way of being, dedicated to cultivation of life force and enhancement of health and vitality on the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels.  Activities offered in these classes will be drawn from five different “baskets”: movement, breath, sound, self-massage, and meditation. Movement is the primary modality, while the other four are wonderful and beneficial supplements.

We encourage you to attend all 8 sessions for optimal benefit and comprehension of movements, but welcome you at any class within the series.

John Brewer About John Brewer

John has been studying and practicing qigong for eight years and teaching for the past three. He has been trained in, and will draw from, two systems: Wisdom Healing Qigong with Master Mingtong Gu, and Integral Qigong with Roger Jahnke.
John is a lifelong educator, versed in making learning effective and fun. He creates a safe, engaging environment through his practice of compassionate communication and empathy. He is also a poetry-lover, and enjoys spreading the qi through verse.
