Susan R. Binon B.APresident sbinon@wellnesswithin.org Susan is an Educations Specialist at Forest Charter School in Nevada City, CA. She has been active in education for more than 25 years. When her sister, MaryAnn Scott was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of uterine cancer she learned first hand how important it was to help a family member navigate this very difficult journey. Her passion to help other cancer patients grew out of this experience. She lives in Granite Bay with her husband Paul, who is a dentist and their teenage son Michael. |
Dave BrownVice President dbrown@wellnesswithin.org Dave has over thirty years of experience as an engineering director in the electronics industry. He has received numerous awards for leadership and is credited with thirteen patents for his engineering work. Dave finds great joy in developing organizations and enabling individuals to attain their potential. Helping Wellness Within to become established as a fully operational venture will be one of his life’s great accomplishments. Dave’s brother and sister-in-law are both cancer survivors which serves as an even greater impetus to help Wellness Within achieve it’s mission. |
Julie Hersch, MDjhersch@wellnesswithin.org Julie Hersch has been a medical oncologist for over 20 years. She is currently in practice at Kaiser Permanente. Prior to this, she was in private practice in Santa Cruz, California. In Santa Cruz, she served as the medical director of The Hospice Caring Project and helped establish Dominican Hospital’s inpatient Palliative care program. Julie also had the unique experience to work in a small village in Ghana during medical school and worked in their out patient clinic. Several years later she lived in Dharhamsala India and worked in the Tibetan Hospital for a month. Her extraordinary experiences and values about healing brought her to Wellness Within. |
Leon He, MBA, CFPTreasurer lhe@wellnesswithin.org Leon is an independent, fee-only financial planner. Prior to his move to California, he had worked in a number of major corporations on the East Coast. Today, he finds great satisfaction in helping ordinary investors and their families make better decisions on money matters and achieve long term financial security.Leon fervently believes in fulfilling one’s social responsibilities and civic duty to contribute to the community. His volunteering experience includes helping renovate a dilapidated school playground in Harlem, New York, and getting involved in activities organized by the American Cancer Society. In his spare time, Leon is an avid reader, especially in history, literature, and biographies. |
